Dynamic Business brings you the key startup fundraising rounds from this week:
Carbon Count, a SaaS-based climate change startup, has officially opened its Series B funding round to accelerate its international expansion and become the leading platform for creating high-quality and high-integrity carbon credits.
Series B funding will be used to expand globally, with testing and trials already underway in North America, Africa, Europe, and South America.
The online meat delivery service ‘Our Cow,’ founded by farmers Bianca Tarrant and David McGiveron in the aftermath of devastating bushfires and floods on their northern NSW property, is gearing up for growth with the launch of a $3 million crowdfunding campaign.
Our Cow is utilising the digital crowdfunding platform VentureCrowd, based in Brisbane, to continue the company’s extraordinary growth trajectory. VentureCrowd has so far raised $1.42 million for a meat subscription startup.
You can find out more about the raise here.
Birchal has set its record for equity raise in the last 24 hours, following the strong quarterly report card for the CrowdSource Funding (CSF) industry. Birchal’s rise was the second-fastest to reach $3 million since it opened to EOIs. The money raised will create Australia’s first equity crowdfunding ecosystem.
This move will establish SMEs and Startups as a mainstream asset class, allowing for secondary trading and best-in-class stakeholder engagement, attracting even more retail and sophisticated investors to Australia’s exciting startup landscape.
Tattarang, an investment firm, is investing in the future of sustainable fabrics, committing $26.8 million (US$20 million) as part of a Series B capital raise by Natural Fiber Welding, Inc., a US-based material innovator (NFW).
NFW, founded in 2015, is a material innovation company that provides new material platforms to the global fashion, accessories, and automotive industries to create low carbon, all-natural, bio-neutral products.
Fintech in New Zealand Dosh, New Zealand’s first digital wallet, has raised $5 million in what is thought to be a local record seed round. It comes after a $1 million pre-seed round in late 2021 for product development and New Zealand regulatory compliance.
The latest funding will be used for product innovation and development and the launch of a yet-to-be-announced global partnership that co-founder Shane Marsh claims will “change the game entirely” for customers as Dosh strives to become the one-stop financial super app for all Kiwis.
Reputation DAO, a Brisbane startup that wants to help decentralised finance (DeFi) platforms address reputation to reduce the collateral required for borrowing, has raised a seed round of $4.75 million (A$6.72 million). AirTree Ventures, DACM, Koji Capital, and Framework Ventures all participated in the round.
Tax office audit insurtech AuditCover has raised $1.7 million in a Seed round led by Hunter Equity Group. Other strategic investors included local angel investors Ron Lesh of BGL) Guy Pearson of Ignition, and Nasdaq-listed global reinsurance company Greenlight Re.
