After two years of COVID fatigue, many business owners have been pushed past their limit. We’re all feeling it, personally and professionally.
Many were looking forward to a fresh start in 2022 but the pandemic had other plans, leaving business owners struggling to juggle staff shortages and more red tape with new COVID protocols.
Some industries have been hit harder than others and somehow, we need to find a way to push forward and turn this into an opportunity to continue to evolve and grow. At a time when innovation and energy have never been so important, how are you showing up for your business? Do you need to boost your motivation and reconnect with your own business?
Here are 5 tips to get your mojo back in 2022 and re-discover the great reasons why you went into business for yourself in the first place:
For me, exercise is the answer but it’s different for everyone. The key is to find something that you love that allows you to be alone and in the moment, where you can block out external noise.
As small business owners, we feel like we can never really switch off, but it might just be half an hour every morning or a few hours every month. What is it costing you not to?
Find organisational tools that work for you. Put regular time aside to tackle admin so it doesn’t build up. And delegate!
For example, at our gyms, we recently added a Reformer Pilates offering – a big leap, but we needed to respond to the consumer shift towards wellness.
Do a check-in with your employees/managers and also your customers. They know your company, your products, and your weaknesses and can give you the knowledge and feedback you need to help freshen things up. Ensuring they feel comfortable putting forward their feedback and ideas is important.
From changing your goals to breaking out of your comfort zone – you’d be surprised how taking a calculated risk can boost your business confidence and bring back some motivation.
If there has been an opportunity that has been knocking on your door that you’ve been wanting to take the plunge with, is it finally time? Many new franchisees I speak to have been feeling stuck in their careers for some time and are looking to shake up their current lifestyle.
If you feel like you’ve lost your business mojo, remember that this happens to all of us from time to time. Once you recognise why you’re stuck, it’s easier to find a way out and get your mindset back on track – ready to tackle what comes next with confidence.
